Frequently asked questions.
What if I have an injury?
Dance classes are not obstacle courses – this is a relaxed, controlled atmosphere. If you can walk without injury, you can dance! Dance to your own level and don’t push yourself. If you do have any questions do not hesitate to talk to your teacher.
What should I wear to class? What shoes do you recommend?
Wear what you are comfortable in, there is no dress code, but you have to be able to dance in what you wear. – you may sweat a lot so remember to bring a towel. For beginners classes all you need to have shoes that won’t fall off your feet. We do recommend that you avoid stiletto heels when you first start.
I have never danced before and have 2 left feet. Can I still dance?
Beginner classes are designed for those that have never danced before. People with two left feet are our specialty. Given the right instruction, we believe anyone can dance.
When does the next course start?
Please have a look at our timetable here. This shows you the dates of all of our upcoming classes and events.
Do I need a partner?
No, not at all.
Our classes are designed so that you can learn as an individual. If you join us as a couple, you will stay with your partner throughout the course, as we do not rotate partners in our beginner classes.
Our qualified, experienced teachers are there to partner you, along with helpers who participate in the class.
While the best way to learn to dance is with different people, if you prefer to stay with your partner, we will not stop you.
What if I miss a class? Can I still make it up?
All classes run on 4-week timetable with a set learning structure for enjoyment, and dance confidence.
What if I have to cancel a private lesson?
The studio requires that you give your teacher at least 48 hours notice for cancellation.
This will allow your teacher to reschedule someone else in this time.
Full payment will be required with less than 48 hours notice for all lessons.
